Dried Thyme
Thyme is part of the mint family and is closely related to oregano.
There are over 50 different varieties of thyme! It has been around for centuries: ancient Egyptians used it for embalming, ancient Greeks burned it as incense and used it in their baths and the Romans used it to purify rooms.
Cooking With Dried Thyme
Thyme adds flavour and depth to stews, stuffings, soups, stocks and teas.
Always add at the start of cooking to allow the flavour to come out.
